Combined Aerial Rescue Appliance project a huge success
Hereford Worcester 2 016 small Firebuy’s Fire Vehicle and Emergency Response Equipment workstream team is proud to have project managed the successful Cambridgeshire and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service - Scania/Magirus Multistar Project. This included managing the procurement and build, ensuring the certification was achieve and the compliance issues addressed and finally the delivery to the fire and rescue services. The vehicles will be on display at the Emergency Services Show in November where the official launch will take place.

Deadline approaching for Special Vehicles Pre Qualification Questionnaires
Specials collage The Pre Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) for the pan government collaborative procurement for Special Vehicle capability closes on Tuesday 3rd November 2009 at 3.00pm. All returns must be with Helen Tideswell, Browne Jacobson, 44 Castlegate, Nottingham NG1 7BJ by this deadline.

Led by Firebuy’s Graham Maltby and his workstream team, this procurement has already received interest from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, London Boroughs Consortia and PAE pilot project involving Essex County Council and Essex Borough and District Councils.

Emergency Response Equipment Framework Agreement – AS Fire novation to Supply 999
Supply 999 logo AS Fire has requested to be released and discharged from the Firebuy Framework Agreement for the supply of Emergency Response Equipment (ERE) on the 14 October 2009. Firebuy has agreed to release and discharge AS Fire from the effective date upon the terms of Supply 999’s undertaking to perform the Contract and be bound by the terms of the Contract in place of AS Fire. Firebuy also advises a change of name on the ERE Framework Agreement from Fire Safety Equipment (FSE) to Supply 999.

Firebuy at the Chartered Institute of Housing's London conference on Fire and Gas Safety in Social Housing
 West Midlands Fire Service Photographic 2009 On 9th October 2009 Elaine Hughes, Firebuy’s Director of Procurement Delivery, joined other presenters from LFEPA at the CIH London conference on Fire and Gas Safety in Social Housing. The conference, aimed at local authority housing associations, focused on fire and gas safety and gave Firebuy the opportunity to promote its Smoke Alarm and CO detector framework agreement together with other framework agreements such as fire extinguishers etc. In the interests of collaborative procurement these frameworks have been set up for use by the fire and rescue service and other public sector bodies and offer very competitive prices together with the contract management ‘peace of mind’ offered by Firebuy.
